In Crisis? Need Help?

KIDS HELP PHONE

If you are under the age of 21 and need someone to talk to, call Kids Help Phone. No matter what age, you can also visit their site at www.kidshelpphone.ca to gather supportive information. Please do not crank call this organization as each fake call takes seconds away from those who need it most.

Another option and in the case of crisis, visit your local hospital and ask to speak to their psychologist on staff. Sometimes just a little human contact or some supportive words can make all the difference in the world.

Yet another option is to make an appointment with your doctor to discuss your problem and the feelings you are encountering. Again, sometimes just knowing that someone is there for you can make all the difference in the world.

If you have a drug plan and can afford a therapist, search online for psychologists and get the support you need. If you are having trouble, just write to us and we'll provide more information on how to pick a therapist that is right for you.

Another option is to contact your local youth organization. Sometimes it doesn't matter what the organization deals with as they may have a social worker on staff who has a big heart and can give you a little time.

Whether you are of religion or not, those who work for religious organizations are also sometimes more than willing to sit down with you to chat.
